Good morning everyone hi I am Shahad, and I am Sahar, this is our last day with ZU 60.
Do you know that the statistics says that there are 44 couples get divorced every month In the UAE. If are interested to know more join the creative lines club in the lecture hall one as they are organizing a lecture on divorce from 12 to 1.
Ladies and Gentlemen, don’t forget Kashta trip this week. It is a capstone project for students from the college of communication and media sciences that aim to raise awareness to show people amazing places in the UAE. You can visit them in Festival City on Thursday and Friday to apply for some of their trips.

Good morning everyone.. I am Amal and I’m happy to be here as a part of ZU 60 team. Ladies and gentlemen, do you like Spanish food? If yes then go directly to the food court as they are having a special Spanish menu for today Wednesday the 2oth of May. You will have a choice of dishes for main course such as Spanish meatballs, Spanish rice and grilled chicken. Those are just samples, much more dishes will be offered. Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Majed Bin Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum , chairmen of Dubai culture’s and Art Authority, the Dubai Arabic Calligraphy center would like to invite you to the opining of the Arabic Calligraphy Exhibition “ Al Basmala”
Show casting artistic painting be renewed calligraphers from the Arab World and the Islamic World on Wednesday May 20, 2009 at 8pm . The fedram collection gallery, gate village building 4 in Dubai International financial Center. Exhibition days from May 21, 2009 to May 29, 2009 at 10 am to 10 pm. Monday news from ZU 60

The Business center sets new instruction to accomplish and meet your academic needs without any delay or inconvenience , the following instruction are :

They won’t accept any copying before 8:30 am and after 4:30 pm. Kindly, you can hand in your request an hour before to have enough time to manage all requests, so get ready to avoid surprises.
In order to avoid viruses transferred from flash memories to centers computer, please send your files by group wise or personal email dxb_buscenter@zu.ac.ae. or copy it to a CD.

Sunday news from ZU 60

Good morning everyone, this is Shahad and I am happy to be here as a part of zu 60 team to update you with the latest news happening on ZU. We will be with you this week for six seconds a day.
The news for today is the trash talk campaign, which is a graphic design capstone project that will take place in the atrium next to La Vita Café today at 12 P.M.
The campaign is organized be a senior graphic designer student who aim to raise awareness to motivate people to separate waste for recycling. The campaign is to make students start collecting soda cans and later on a statue will be built out of the collected cans to encourage the viewers into collecting cans for recycling. Recycling boxes will be placed around the campus in the cafeteria, wing B, wing F and the atrium. Posters will be placed around as well under the name of trash talk, looking forward to seeing you all and have a nice day.

LAST PODCAST with the M's

Hi Everyone, unfortunately this is our last week with ZU60, it was a BLAST being in touch with you, and we hope to be back soon.

 First news for the day, again a reminder of the “Skin and Hair Care” day will be starting today from 10am to 3pm at the lecture Hall 2, be sure NOT to miss it.

 

For those of you who are interested in volunteering programs, 10 to 15 volunteers are needed to help with the graduation ceremony on Thursday 28 May from 6 to 9 pm in the Convention Center at DXB campus. Register your name with Amal Al Hadad, at the career services.

ZU60 with the M's

Good Morning Everyone, were the M’s and were back with more news from Zayed University.

 

We would like to begin our day to announce that Zayed University - Dubai Basketball Team

WON THE FIRST PLACE in the Higher Education Sports Federation Basketball tournament for the current academic year of 2009. The team won 5 matches in a row. So Congratulations girls and Well Done!!

 

If you’re interested in beauty and health, “Skin and Hair Care” day will be on the 14th of May, from 10am to 3pm, at lecture hall 2. 4 beauty advisors will be present as well as skin and hair analyzer will be used,, don’t miss the chance.

Good Morning everyone, were the M’s and were back with more news from Zayed University!!

Meal of the day, the chief’s complementary meal for the day is the Swiss steak with onion gravy, and the value meal is the chicken casserole with white rice and that’s for 10 Dhs ONLY.

Again just a reminder of final exams, start studying from now GIRLS!!

Speaking of final exams and summer vacation, for those of you who won’t travel, you will have the opportunity of many summer offers like Dubai properties, Dubai police, Nakheel and many more. remember, there is only ONE WEEK left to register for the 2009 World Conference. On-site registration is available throughout the conference, but online registration ends May 13, 2009.


You're invited to attend a cultural recital today at the Lecture Hall. If you don't get the chance to attend, then you could catch it later this evening in Mall of the Emirates. Admission is only 10 Dirhams.

On Campus,
there'll be a Heath Exhibition in the Atrium at 10:00, in front of Wing D.
It's aim is to spread health awareness and promote healthy lifestyle.

At 12:00, go check out Stacey's Workshop in the Lecture Hall.. This workshop is for paintings you could hang in your bedroom. up to 25 students. up to 25 students are participating.

ON CAMPUS:
Be stylish campaign has 3 events going on today.
the first is at 12:00, which will be a workshop on how to dress etiquettely.

At 12:30 there will be a light cook-off in the atrium! Go ahead and test your skills

Finally there will be a play about a girl who has changed her life to the better after a dream she had. that will be in the auditorium at 12:00.

OFF CAMPUS:
Noor Ali Rashid Award is today. Most of the winners are from Zayed University, GOOD FOR US!

Today's independent learning day. Meaning you could work independently from home.


We've got TWO trips for today.

First trip is organized by the student council. The trip will be to 7OOR Centre. it includes 2 beauty workshops, a play, training sessions and lunch for only 50 and limited to 40 students.

Second trip is to the Arabic Travel Market at Dubai World Trade Centre. For those of you who ARE invited to attend this event, know that there will be no transportation from Zayed University to Dubai World Trade Centre. Hopefully you have that sorted out.

FOR THOSE COMING INTO THE UNIVERSITY TODAY:

Day TWO of Principles of Tourism workshop, organized by logos club. will be held today in the Dining Hall Lecture Hall 1 in the common hour. Certificates will be given for you participation.

Our top event for the day starts at 12:00 between Wing E and B. This short seminar will consist of Zayed University students who'll speak about girls of today versus girls of yesterday.


Don't forget to fill out the survey about eating habbits. The survey will be conducted all week in the atrium. Just make sure you do some measures before hand
